Nicole Shanks is a photographer, designer, and mix-mediums artist born and currently based in Ohio. She holds a B.S.S. in Anthropology, Women’s & Gender Studies, and Social Justice from Ohio University and is currently a M.A. candidate of photography in the School of Visual Communication at Ohio University. 

Spanning multiple genres and techniques—Nicole’s work is unquestionably unique, thoughtful, and engaging. She primarily works as a commercial photographer, but seems to effortlessly transition into other realms through experimental documentary photography, video, design and illustration. Though she maintains an advanced visual literacy, her objective is simple—to convey emotion and beauty in life. 

In other areas of her life, Nicole enjoys traveling, meeting new people, cooking (and eating) big dinners for people she loves.
